There have been so many things going on here at the Ashley Library!
Second graders have been working so hard on their research during the last two weeks. I have watched as they successfully navigate through encyclopedias, databases, and non-fiction texts to learn more about a topic that they have chosen and answer questions that they have developed! I am so proud of them!
Two new stations have been introduced this week, as well! The 30 cup challenge and the coloring stations are brand spankin' new and super fun! Students can use 30 plastic cups to build the highest structure they can think of. I have seen some pretty huge structures come crashing down and some pretty hard working kiddos start right back to work!
Tomorrow is our visit from Cammie McGovern, author of Just My Luck. We are all super excited, but there will be more on that tomorrow. ;)
