Today the Second Graders in Mrs. Thom's GT class came to visit the library for some research. We used QR codes to introduce a research unit on Dinosaurs! Rawr!
Every QR code took us to a new type of source - video, book, article, database, and even to the dictionary!

Searching the MackinVIA online databases for dino info! We learned that research is about asking the right questions, looking in the right place, and never giving up. The answer that you are looking for isn't always in the first sentence!
These kiddos will come back next week to finish their Dino Research Hunt and then be ready to dig in deeper to learn about specific types of dinosaurs.
