**Remember - there is a difference between comprehension and decoding. Readers might exquisitely read the words on a page (decode), but if they lack understanding (comprehension) of the words then the reading picture is not complete. Ensure that a reader has both pieces to the reading puzzle or is receiving support during their reading from home or school before sending them to advanced reads.
